Hello! and a happy new year!
2017 has been a year of ups and downs. I got to visit some amazing places, started my third year of university, and strengthened some relationships with family and friends. But also, I lost a loved one, have had many an existential crisis over my future, and my boyfriend and I are now long distance. A very mixed bag.
However, one thing that was consistent this year was my reading. In an earlier blog post, I discussed my reading goals – listing only 5 books (very pessimistic). I managed to complete that task and so many more books, which I am going to discuss now. I’m really proud of my productivity and it feels really good getting back into reading.

- Goodnight Stories For Rebel Girls – Elena Favilli and Francesca Cavallo

The Distaster Artist – Greg Sestero and Tom Bissell
Some of these books I preferred to others, but regardless I managed to finish them all. Something I want to carry on into next year is the variety of genres I read. Typically, I only read fiction novels. But this year I’ve adored reading non-fiction, poetry, and plays. I do think I owe a lot of my reading to how many hours I have spent on trains this year.
